How much are Leigh-on-Sea antenatal classes?

Who runs the classes?

**Meet Larissa.**

Larissa is one of the midwives that teaches our Leigh on Sea classes. Larissa qualified as a midwife in 2006 and has enjoyed a varied career working in all aspects of midwifery, consolidating this for many years as a community and then continuity of care team midwife. She is currently working in a secondment role as a diabetes midwife. She is a mum of two who loves to keep busy with regular exercise classes and travels with friends and family. She says "I am excited to welcome you onto the course. It's so rewarding to be a part of your journey into parenthood. I look forward to being there to help guide and support you."

How does this differ to NCT classes in Leigh-on-Sea?

The reason NCT springs to mind first for many people when thinking about antenatal classes is because the classes have been around since the 1950s. For many decades they were the only form of antenatal classes available. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case.

The NCT is a charity and instructors complete a degree course to teach the classes. All Happy Parents Happy Baby instructors are midwives and doctors so have a degree but also thousands of hours of practical experience working in birth centres and hospitals.

Unlike NCT classes, our antenatal classes all include hypnobirthing and baby first aid at no extra cost. At the time of writing, NCT classes in Leigh-on-Sea are priced at £269, compared to prices from £199 for Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes. NCT classes in Leigh-on-Sea are held at St Peter’s Church in Westcliff, whereas our classes take place at the Corner Club so you can relax and make the most of socialising with your course mates.

Most people on our Leigh-on-Sea course are from Leigh-on-Sea. The course is also popular with people living neighbouring areas of Southend-on-Sea, Chalkwell and Eastwood.

From walks along the beach and the Broadway, to hangouts in the coffee shops and at each other’s houses, graduates from our Leigh-on-Sea antenatal classes are never short of things to do.
