Refresher Antenatal Classes
Happy Parents, again!
This course is ideal for second or subsequent time parents who are looking to refresh their knowledge, debrief on previous birth experiences, prepare older children or make new friends.
It’s perfect for those that have had babies in the last 3 years and would like a refresher. If you have a larger age gap or if one parent is a first time parent, the in-person or live-online course may be more suitable.

An online portal of videos plus live Q&A sessions, from our team of specialists - no need to find a babysitter!
Live session recordings in case you are called away by older children
Covers preparing older children, birth options and debrief, hypnobirthing, feeding, baby first aid & more

Two additional social sessions if you live in one of our in-person course areas
Meet other local parents-to-be, due at a similar time, who are attending your local in-person course
These may be a mix of first time and / or subsequent time parents
We can’t guarantee there will always be second or subsequent time parents at the socials, but they are a great way to meet and make friends with other expectant parents living close to you
You will also be added to the local Whatsapp group

Your new family dynamic
Our team will help you to prepare older children for the new arrival and also discuss useful tips for caring for multiple children.

Debrief & preparing for birth
Our midwife and obstetric doctor will recap birth essentials and give you the opportunity to debrief on your previous birth experiences.

Hypnobirthing
Our hypnobirthing teacher will guide you through all your tools for a positive and empowered birth, whether you plan a vaginal or abdominal (Caesarean) birth. With breathing, relaxations, positions and more. Our doctor will go through all your other pain relief options, should you wish to use them.

Feeding
Our feeding team including an IBCLC feeding specialist will recap and support you whether you wish to breastfeed or bottle feed your baby.

Baby first aid
Our baby first aid instructor will recap managing choking, resuscitation (CPR), the recovery position, burns, fevers, febrile seizures, rashes and meningitis.

Absolutely! Birth partners play a really important role, so we encourage them to watch the content on the course portal with you and also join the live Q&A sessions.

Yes, we would recommend watching the videos in the portal before your Q&A. No new content is covered is the Q&A sessions

Our live online Q&A sessions are recorded so that you can catch up and watch later at a convenient time via the course portal

If you book the social add on as part of your course, you will be invited to a social local to you before your baby is due.
PLEASE NOTE THAT NOT ALL LOCATIONS HAVE A MONTHLY SOCIAL.

A reunion will then be arranged for the same group after your babies are born

When you book a refresher course with social add on you will be invited to a social event local to your area and matched to your due date/course date.
This can be with a mixture of first time or subsequent time expectant parents that have taken our in person course in that location.
You will also be added to the WhatsApp group of the corresponding course social you are attending.
We will introduce you to the group ahead of the social

The social is held with our in person course community and are held in the evenings from 7pm

We recommend that you begin your course after week 25 of your pregnancy to complete the course by week 37.
If you purchase the social add on with your booking, please bare in mind that not all courses run monthly so you may need to book an earlier course to be able to attend your social before your baby is due

If your baby is born before 37 weeks of pregnancy and you haven’t started the course, we will issue you a full refund.
If you are part way through your course and your baby arrives before 37 weeks of pregnancy, please contact us at bookings@happyparentshappybaby.com, and we’ll be able to assist you.
