Hove: where are the classes held?
Our Hove antenatal classes are held in the Poets Ale and Smokehouse which is on Montgomery Street, which is close to Aldrington station.

Who runs the classes?
Meet Grace.
Grace is one of the midwives that teaches our Hove antenatal classes. Grace qualified as a midwife in 2015 and has worked in London, Birmingham and now Brighton. She has experience in all areas of midwifery, including being on call for home and hospital births as part of a continuity of care team. She says: “My favourite thing about being a midwife is supporting families during their pregnancies. I love helping the people I care for to feel empowered and make the decisions that are right for them. This is also why I love being a HPHB course host - it’s another opportunity to get to know new families and support them on their way to becoming parents.”
How does this differ to NCT classes in Hove?
The reason NCT springs to mind first for many people when thinking about antenatal classes is because the classes have been around since the 1950s. For many decades they were the only form of antenatal classes available. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case.
The NCT is a charity and instructors complete a degree course to teach the classes. All Happy Parents Happy Baby instructors are midwives and doctors so have a degree but also thousands of hours of practical experience working in birth centres and hospitals.
Unlike NCT classes, our antenatal classes all include hypnobirthing and baby first aid at no extra cost. At the time of writing, NCT classes in Hove are priced at £269, compared to £199 for Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes. NCT classes in Hove are held at the BHASVIC (Brighton Hove & Sussex Sixth Form College) whereas our classes take place at The Stoneham so you can relax and make the most of socialising with your course mates.
Our local Hove community
Most of the people coming on our Hove course are from Hove. The course is also popular with those living in neighbouring areas of Portslade, Southwick and Shoreham-by-Sea.
From walks in Preston Park or along the beachfront, to coffee hangouts and playdates at each other’s houses, graduates from our Hove antenatal course are never short of things to do.
