Who runs the classes?
Meet Molly
Molly is one of the midwives that teaches our Harpenden antenatal classes. Molly graduated from the University of Bedfordshire in 2019 and now works as a Midwife on The Kensington Wing at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital. She is a mum of an 8 month old baby boy, and loves exercising and spending time with family and friends in her spare time. She says “I can’t wait to welcome you onto the new course in St Albans and help prepare and support you on this new and exciting journey to parenthood!”
How does this differ to NCT classes in Harpenden?
The reason NCT springs to mind first for many people when thinking about antenatal classes is because the classes have been around since the 1950s. For many decades they were the only form of antenatal classes available. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case.
The NCT is a charity and instructors complete a degree course to teach the classes. All Happy Parents Happy Baby instructors are midwives and doctors so have a degree but also thousands of hours of practical experience working in birth centres and hospitals.
Unlike NCT classes, our antenatal classes all include hypnobirthing and baby first aid at no extra cost. At the time of writing, NCT classes nearest to Harpenden are priced at £299, compared to prices from £199 for Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes. NCT classes near Harpenden are held in St Albans at Christ Church whereas our classes take place at a central local venue so you can relax and make the most of socialising with your course mates.
