Hampstead & Finchley: where are the classes held?
Our Hampstead and Finchley antenatal classes take place at the JW3 studio space on Finchley Road which is a short walk from Finchley Road and Hampstead stations.

How much are Hampstead & Finchley antenatal classes?

Who runs the classes?
Meet Sofia.
Sofia is one of the midwives who teaches our Angel and Islington antenatal classes. Sofia qualified as a midwife in 2019 from London City University at Homerton Hospital. She has worked across all maternity wards and currently supports postnatal women and families in the community once they’ve gone home from the hospital. Sofia says: “The most important tool through pregnancy, labour and the postnatal period is information and knowledge - I want to empower you by giving you all of that knowledge.”
How does this differ to NCT classes in Hampstead & Finchley?
The reason NCT springs to mind first for many people when thinking about antenatal classes is because the classes have been around since the 1950s. For many decades they were the only form of antenatal classes available. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case.
The NCT is a charity and instructors complete a degree course to teach the classes. All Happy Parents Happy Baby instructors are midwives and doctors so have a degree but also thousands of hours of practical experience working in birth centres and hospitals.
Unlike NCT classes, our antenatal classes all include hypnobirthing and baby first aid at no extra cost. At the time of writing, NCT classes in Hampstead and Finchley are priced at £369, compared to £259 for Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes. NCT classes in Hampstead and Finchley take place at East Finchley Baptist Church and St Gabriel’s Hall whereas our classes take place at the JW3 studio space where you can relax and make the most of socialising with your course mates.
Our local community
Most of the people coming on our Hampstead course are from Hampstead and Finchley. The course is also popular with those living in neighbouring areas of Swiss Cottage and Kilburn.
From baby cinema trips, walks on the Heath and playdates at each other’s houses, graduates from our Hampstead and Finchley antenatal course are never short of things to do.
