Forest Gate: where are the classes held?
Our Forest Gate antenatal classes are held at the Cider House off Avenue Road. The closest tube stations are Forest Gate, Wanstead Park and Woodgrange Park.

Who runs the classes?
Meet Annabel.
Annabel is one the midwives that runs our antenatal classes in Forest Gate. She graduated from Anglia Ruskin University in Essex and now works as a community midwife. Annabel’s hobbies including painting and in her spare time she likes to get outdoors and do long walks in the countryside. She says ‘I’m looking forward to meeting you all on the course - I hope you finish the course feeling confident and excited for your new journey into becoming parents!’
How does this differ to NCT classes in Forest Gate?
The reason NCT springs to mind first for many people when thinking about antenatal classes is because the classes have been around since the 1950s. For many decades they were the only form of antenatal classes available. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case.
The NCT is a charity and instructors complete a degree course to teach the classes. All Happy Parents Happy Baby instructors are midwives and doctors so have a degree but also thousands of hours of practical experience working in birth centres and hospitals.
Unlike NCT classes, our antenatal classes all include hypnobirthing and baby first aid at no extra cost. At the time of writing, NCT classes near Forest Gate are priced at £369, compared to £199 for Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes. NCT classes near Forest Gate take place at Salvation Army Stratford, whereas our classes take place at The Cider House so you can relax and make the most of socialising with your course mates.
