How much are Cheam antenatal classes?

Who runs the classes?
Meet Jemma.
Jemma is one of the midwives who teaches our Cheam antenatal classes. Jemma qualified as a midwife in 2016 from Keele University. Since then she has worked at a busy central London hospital rotating in all areas of maternity including caseloading, supporting families throughout their journey from pregnancy, birth and with baby. She splits her work in the community and as a trust quality improvement fellow.
In her spare time, Jemma enjoys walking her dog, Melba - she also enjoyed beekeeping! She says “I love watching families develop and grow, providing them with reassurance and confidence and making a positive difference. As a course host, I enjoy seeing friendships form and empowering families about their pregnancy, birth and beyond.”
How does this differ to NCT classes in Cheam?
The reason NCT springs to mind first for many people when thinking about antenatal classes is because the classes have been around since the 1950s. For many decades they were the only form of antenatal classes available. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case.
The NCT is a charity and instructors complete a degree course to teach the classes. All Happy Parents Happy Baby instructors are midwives and doctors so have a degree but also thousands of hours of practical experience working in birth centres and hospitals.
Unlike NCT classes, our antenatal classes all include hypnobirthing and baby first aid at no extra cost. At the time of writing, NCT classes in Cheam are priced at £369, compared to £199 for Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes. The closest NCT classes for people living in Cheam are held at David Lloyd Cheam, whereas our classes take place at a popular local venue so you can relax in lovely surroundings and make the most of socialising with your course mates.
Our local Cheam community
Most of the people coming on our Cheam course are from Cheam. The course is also popular with those living in neighbouring areas of Sutton, Ewell and Banstead.
From walks in Nonsuch Park, to coffee shop hangouts and playdates at each other’s houses, graduates from our Cheam antenatal classes are never short of things to do together.
