Who runs the classes?

Meet Charlotte.

Charlotte is one of the midwives who teaches our Bromley antenatal classes. Charlotte graduated in 2017 and has worked in all areas of maternity and most recently works as an Antenatal Ward Manager and midwife on labour ward. She also is also a mum to a little girl.

During her spare time she loves to knit and crochet. She says ‘Antenatal education has always been a passion of mine and I cannot wait to welcome future parents onto the course and ensure you are prepared for whichever birth you have!’

How does this differ to NCT classes in Bromley?

The reason NCT springs to mind first for many people when thinking about antenatal classes is because the classes have been around since the 1950s. For many decades they were the only form of antenatal classes available. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case.

The NCT is a charity and instructors complete a degree course to teach the classes. All Happy Parents Happy Baby instructors are midwives and doctors so have a degree but also thousands of hours of practical experience working in birth centres and hospitals.

Unlike NCT classes, our antenatal classes all include hypnobirthing and baby first aid at no extra cost. At the time of writing, NCT classes in Bromley are priced at £369, compared to £259 for Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes. NCT classes in Bromley take place at Community House, whereas our classes take place at the Bromley Court Hotel so you can relax and make the most of socialising with your course mates.

Our local Bromley community

Most of the people coming on our Bromley course are from Bromley. The course is also popular with those living in neighbouring areas of Beckenham, Chiselhurst and West Wickham.

From walks in Church House Gardens or shopping at the Glades, to coffee shop hangouts and playdates at each other’s houses, graduates from our Bromley antenatal classes are never short of things to do together.

Is it worth it?

“Truly brilliant course. Couldn’t wish for better. Feel so much more empowered about birth and looking after baby having been on this course. The resources you’re given afterwards are great too. Excellent value for money! Thanks guys”
