Who runs the classes?
Meet Sophie.
Sophie is one of the midwives who teaches our Bishops Stortford antenatal classes. Sophie graduated in 2012 from Birmingham City University and has enjoyed a variety of work in all areas of midwifery. She is an animal lover, who enjoys travel and getting out in the fresh air in her free time (rain or shine-although it seems more rain at the moment). She is so looking forward to meeting you and being part of your special journey into parenthood. She says "Congratulations! I can't wait to welcome you to the course and learn together, I will be there for you all the way!"
How does this differ to NCT classes in Bishops Stortford?
The reason NCT springs to mind first for many people when thinking about antenatal classes is because the classes have been around since the 1950s. For many decades they were the only form of antenatal classes available. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case.
The NCT is a charity and instructors complete a degree course to teach the classes. All Happy Parents Happy Baby instructors are midwives and doctors so have a degree but also thousands of hours of practical experience working in birth centres and hospitals.
Unlike NCT classes, our antenatal classes all include hypnobirthing and baby first aid at no extra cost. At the time of writing, NCT classes in Bishops Stortford are priced at £299, compared to prices from £199 for Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes. NCT classes in Bishops Stortford are held at Great Hallingbury Village Hall, Great Hallingbury whereas our classes take place at South Mill Arts where you can relax and make the most of socialising with your course mates.
