Who runs the classes?
How does this differ to NCT classes in Tooting?
The reason NCT springs to mind first for many people when thinking about antenatal classes is because the classes have been around since the 1950s. For many decades they were the only form of antenatal classes available. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case.
The NCT is a charity and instructors complete a degree course to teach the classes. All Happy Parents Happy Baby instructors are midwives and doctors so have a degree but also thousands of hours of practical experience working in birth centres and hospitals.
Unlike NCT classes, our antenatal classes all include hypnobirthing and baby first aid at no extra cost. At the time of writing, NCT classes in Tooting are priced at £369, compared to £259 for Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes. NCT classes in Tooting take place at Holy Trinity Church whereas our classes take place at The Wheatsheaf pub so you can relax and make the most of socialising with your course mates.
Our local Tooting community
Most of the people coming on our Tooting antenatal course are from Tooting. The course is also popular with those living in neighbouring areas of Balham, Streatham and Colliers Wood.
From walks on Tooting or Wandsworth Common, to coffees in Tooting Market or in the numerous pubs and baby swimming classes, graduates from our Tooting antenatal classes are never short of things to do together.
Is it worth it?
“Truly brilliant course. Couldn’t wish for better. Feel so much more empowered about birth and looking after baby having been on this course. The resources you’re given afterwards are great too. Excellent value for money! Thanks guys”
